What we collect
Account details from your login provider (email, name, avatar); what you enter in your profile, jobs, applications, pitches, notes, reviews and reports; your Credit balances and transaction history; the country your requests come from; the IP address you signed up from, which we keep to spot duplicate and fake accounts; and standard technical logs. Payment card details never reach us — Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, handles checkout.
Why
To run the marketplace: show your profile to creators you apply to, exchange contact details on acceptance, charge and refund Credits, send transactional email and in-app notifications, detect fraud, and resolve reports. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
Who sees what
Editor profiles are public except contact details, which only a creator who accepted you can see. Job briefs are public with links, emails and handles removed; the full brief and the creator's contact go only to editors they accept. Admins can see everything needed to moderate and resolve reports.
Processors
Clerk (login), Supabase (database), Cloudflare (hosting, DNS, email, bot protection and cookieless visit counts), Dodo Payments (payments and invoices). Each processes data on our instructions.
Your rights
You can view and edit your profile at any time. You can download everything we hold about you, or delete your account, from the Account page (linked on your dashboard). Deleting erases your name, email, profile, contact details, pitches and signup IP, and keeps the minimum transaction records required for accounting and dispute resolution, with identifying details removed. For access, correction or deletion requests, email hello@editorgigs.com. If you are in India, this policy is our notice under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and your consent is given at signup.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you logged in, remember a referral code for 30 days, and protect forms from bots. Visit counts come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies. No advertising cookies.
Retention and security
Account data is kept while your account exists. Transaction records are retained for the period required by law. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our processors. Contact hello@editorgigs.com with any question.
