1. What EditorGigs is
EditorGigs (“we”) is an online job board where creators post video editing jobs and editors apply. We introduce the two sides and exchange contact details on acceptance. We are not a party to any agreement between a creator and an editor, we do not handle the payment for the editing work, and we do not guarantee that any job will be completed or paid.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old. You choose one role at signup — creator or editor — and it cannot be changed later; use a separate account for the other role. One account per role per person: accounts made to collect extra signup Credits or to fill a job's applicant spots will be suspended. Disposable email addresses are not accepted. Keep your login secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
3. Credits
Credits are a prepaid credit used only on EditorGigs. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred. Three kinds exist: purchased Credits, a one-time signup bonus of 100 Credits, and apply-only Credits earned from check-ins and referrals (capped at 100; usable for applications only). Applications spend signup bonus Credits first, then apply-only Credits, then purchased Credits; hire fees spend signup bonus Credits, then purchased Credits. Credits cost the same in every country (shown in rupees in India and in US dollars elsewhere, converted to your currency at checkout); larger packs include more Credits for the price. Free Credits do not expire. We may change Credit prices and rewards for future purchases with notice.
4. Fees for editors
Fees depend on the job's market (the creator's country) and yours. For an editor in the same market, applying costs 20 Credits and the hire fee is 5% of the job's minimum budget (one Credit counted as ₹1), between 100 and 500 Credits, fixed when the job is published. For an editor in another market, both fees are multiplied by how much editing pays in the job's country compared with yours, between ⅓ and 3 times (listed on the Pricing page). Your market is your sign-up country, or the country of any card or billing address you have paid with if editing pays less there. Every job shows your fees before you apply. Your first hire must include at least one purchased Credit. If you cannot cover it, you have 24 hours to buy Credits. If you can't or won't take the job, decline it: the position reopens at once and nothing is charged. Letting the 24 hours run out counts as a strike, and 3 strikes suspend applying. Creators pay nothing.
5. Refunds
The apply fee is refunded automatically when a job closes, fills or expires before the creator decided on your application. It is not refunded when the creator rejected it or when you withdraw. A hire fee is refunded automatically if the creator removes you within 7 days of accepting you, or if you report a creator for not responding between 3 and 10 days after acceptance and we uphold the report. A hire whose fee was refunded cannot be reviewed. Fee refunds are paid back in Credits.
Credit purchases are final. Purchased Credits are not refundable for money, whether you have spent them or not, and you agree to that before you buy. This does not limit a refund the law requires you to get, or one our merchant of record (Dodo Payments) gives when Credits you paid for were not added to your account. If a purchase is refunded or charged back, its Credits are removed from your balance, which can go below zero and then blocks spending until it is cleared.
6. Creators
A creator's first 2 jobs are reviewed before going live. You may have 3 open jobs at a time. You must respond to editors you accept. You may remove up to 3 hired editors every 30 days; removing one within 7 days refunds their hire fee. Upheld reports count as strikes; 3 strikes suspend posting. By posting you accept that editors pay Credits to apply and that your contact details are shared with editors you accept.
7. Contact details and conduct
Contact details are shared only between a creator and an editor they accepted. Do not use them for anything other than the job. No harassment, spam, off-platform recruitment of applicants you rejected, or fake jobs. Briefs are published with links, emails and handles removed; attempts to bypass this may lead to removal.
8. Reviews
Reviews are possible only between a creator and an editor they hired, open 7 days after acceptance and close 60 days after it, and are hidden until both sides submit or 14 days pass. Reviews must be honest and about the work.
9. Purchases
Credit packs are sold by Dodo Payments as merchant of record, which handles checkout, taxes and invoices. Prices vary by country. A refunded or disputed purchase removes the Credits it bought and any rewards it triggered; a negative balance blocks spending until cleared.
10. Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for the conduct of users, the quality or payment of editing work, or indirect losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding three months.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email or on the site. These terms are governed by the laws of India. Questions: hello@editorgigs.com.
